It's often the simple things in life that are most rewarding and memorable. A simple gesture or word of advise can go a long way. But that's not to say that hard work and giving back will go unnoticed.

Project Sunshine' is a children's organization which makes things a little brighter for children who are hospitalized. My first guest, Lisa Stamm, was a long time employee and shared when and how her interests began as a volunteer and what some of the greatest lessons her free spirited and nontraditional mother taught her.
"You are just like mom" is a common sentiment my second guest, Leesa Anderson hears from her sisters. In retrospect, she cherishes the similarities because Leesa is very proud of her mother's accomplishments. Daughter of a Naval Officer who was often away, her mother had to raise the girls on her own for long periods of time. Leesa's mother's determination and hard work left a lasting impression.
